Valentines Day Sushi

While waiting for the site to come to life, I thought I’d share a picture of the Valentines Day sushi I made for my son and I.

This is a great example to show that sushi does not have to be limited to raw meats and veggies. This heart-shaped sushi is made with strawberries and cream cheese, and I’m pleased to say has been a pretty big hit.

So is the bento box that it is in! My son now has 3 different bento boxes and he loves eating out of them. I’m happy to put food in anything that makes the entree fun and appealing, especially a bento box.

Currently I’m getting a few ‘how to’ posts ready and I hope to have them up soon. Thanks for reading, and please stay tuned for more!

I love this site and the heart shaped sushi is adorable. I would eat sushi everyday if I could. The whole mercury thing limits me to 3 days a week. Look forward to reading more!

      Thank you!!
Well, as this site is to broaden the tastes of children and to help parents make sushi easily, there definitely won’t be fish in every recipe. After all, the true definition of sushi is ‘sticky rice’ so you don’t even have to have fish in order for it to be sushi.
There will be a wide variety of recipes on this site, to include mock sushi/creative sushi, that may not contain rice at all but just be made to look like sushi.
      :)
